La Cellule d’InterventionMETAMKINEis an open collective of musicians and filmmakers exploring the relationship between image and sound. Since 1987, they have developed various concepts and presented them at festivals, in galleries, movie theaters, and contemporary art exhibition spaces across Europe, Canada, the U.S., Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.

Through the magic of mirrors, multiple projectors, and highly sophisticated live editing on stage, Metamkine produces and stages a new film with each of its performances. Starting from a central narrative, they create a flood of improvised vignettes, accompanied by a live soundtrack composed of tape fragments and vintage synthesizer sounds. The three performers, who have been working together for more than 10 years, have succeeded in pushing the boundaries of film and soundtrack into the realm of live performance—absolutely unique!
