Mia is a passionate actress seeking her fortune in Los Angeles. Sebastian also wants to make his breakthrough there, but not as an actor, but as a musician who wants to inspire people of the 21st century with traditional jazz. Mia and Sebastian have to get by with side jobs to make a living - she works in cafés and he plays the keyboard in clubs like Boss. After they meet in front of the piano and eventually become a couple, they give each other strength. From then on, they work together to make it big. But Mia and Sebastian soon realize that their efforts also require sacrifices and put their relationship to the test. Is Sebastian betraying himself by playing music he doesn't like in Keith's band? And can't Mia learn her lines on tour with her boyfriend, or does she really have to stay in L.A.?
