"Everything has to go. Me, for example. This time it's about traveling in the broadest sense. I'm pretty sure of that. I get around like crazy. Not only with you, but also around the world - or rather around the top, keyword: crust. I'm sure you understand that I have to be a bit vague here. Let me put it this way: "A beige man in black sees red on the road." Is there any high language? Plasticine? Even animals? Cooked animals?

It's not just the well-known beanie hat that is his trademark: Author, poetry slammer and cabaret artist Torsten Sträter is at least as famous for his trenchant observations of everyday life and his sometimes biting wordplay. Today, tickets for Torsten Sträter's shows are just as sought-after as his books, which are repeatedly on the Spiegel bestseller list. In his stage program - as well as in his short stories - he takes the piss out of everyday madness. With punchlines that often take a few seconds to hit home, but are all the more memorable for it.
