Philippe (François Cluzet) has been paralyzed from the head down since he crashed during a paragliding flight. But he hasn't lost his courage to face life, because Philippe is rich. A Maserati collects dust in his yard and he is happy to spend 14,000 euros on a painting with splashes of color. Just as he is looking for a new carer, Driss (Omar Sy), who has just been released from prison, is standing in his living room and all he really wants is a stamp to prove that he has introduced himself in order to continue receiving unemployment benefits. True to the motto "opposites attract", Philippe hires Driss because his carefree, easy-going manner fascinates Philippe. Initially reluctant to take on any permanent employment at all, Driss gradually turns the aristocrat's life upside down and an unusual friendship develops between the two.
