The WANDERKINO is a mobile movie theater.

Silent films of different genres are projected using historical 16mm projection technology: slapstick, monumental and experimental films.

All films are accompanied by live music with different instrumentation.

A vintage fire engine (Magirus Deutz, 1969) integrates the entire cinema, sound and lighting technology.

Any location can be transformed into an open-air cinema in no time at all. The film screenings take place in a nostalgically staged location - creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the pioneering days of cinema.

The WANDERKINO has been on the road since 1999. In addition to annual trips through Germany, WANDERKINO has been invited to France, Slovenia, Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Spain, Portugal, Senegal, Tunisia, Sweden, Denmark, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Singapore, Japan, Uruguay, Bolivia, Italy, Austria, Slovakia, Turkey and Switzerland.
