Sanna Lu Una
PICK OF THE DAY
You cannot miss this event.
In the organizer's words:
A liberated voice, accompanied by dreamy synths, horns, chamber music, glockenspiel, field recordings, and metallic beats: Sanna Lu Una, a musician and producer, creates new worlds with her music and sets them adrift in the vast waters of avant-garde pop, while repeatedly and delightfully pushing the boundaries of the genre. In her songs, she explores existential questions and playfully wraps them in fantastical imagery. The lyrics function much like the language of dreams; they communicate through metaphors and symbols, enabling a vivid and visual reflection.
Her debut album, “Pierce the Ground,” breaks through the surface to see what lies beneath. It explores humanity’s inseparable relationship with nature—including our own inner nature—in a world that seems to be increasingly severing itself from that nature. Inner processes become tangible and audible, mirrored in a journey of self-discovery.
In live performances, her expressive voice takes center stage. Enveloped by cinematic sounds and in collaboration with cellist Angelo Beltrame, Sanna Lu Una creates a space for profound emotions and transforms the stage into landscapes where the inner world manifests itself on the outside.
