Two violins, a cello, a piano - and an abundance of creative energy: Salut Salon have been performing in the world's most renowned concert halls for over 20 years - most recently in Monheim am Rhein in 2024 - and delight their audiences with crazy parlor rides between Vivaldi and vocal acrobatics, tango and crime scene, rap and Rachmaninov.
With their new program "Heimat", Salut Salon celebrate a big, almost all-encompassing theme: a word that comes naturally to us. But what exactly is home? A place, tradition, feeling, words, languages and sounds? In any case, home is a moving subject - also for the multinational musicians of Salut Salon.
With open ears and a keen instinct, the quartet has collected pieces from a wide variety of genres, which are performed in the unmistakable Salut Salon style: Works by Mozart, Saint-Saëns or Copeland, songs from Finland, France and Egypt, the unknown, the famous, their own compositions and, of course, as in each of their programs: Tango Nuevo by Astor Piazzolla. Pieces in which the question of the wondrous nature of this word resonates again and again, in the most diverse ways: Home - what is it?
And the four musicians give their very own answer with somnambulistic naturalness: Salut Salon are at home in the world - and their home is music.
