Rico is highly gifted, but he quickly loses his bearings and has trouble remembering things. On the other hand, he has a very special intuition. He’s quite different from his new friend Oskar, who is highly intelligent but also quite fearful.

When the mysterious child abductor “Mister 2000”—also known as the “Aldi Kidnapper”—starts wreaking havoc in the neighborhood and Oskar suddenly disappears, Rico bravely sets out to find his friend. In the process, he actually tracks down the culprit. The fact that Rico’s mother happens to get to know the nice neighborhood police officer better in the process is almost too much good luck for an ordinary day on Dieffenbachstraße.
