Maybebop - "Vier Typen. Vier Mikrofone. Sonst nichts."

The a cappella pop quartet Maybebop is known for its entertaining, musically diverse shows, in which it engages the audience through proximity, sing-alongs and improvisation. After the vocal acrobats have performed at our Drive In events in the courtyard of the future Kulturraffinerie K714 in recent years and in the Aula am Berliner Ring in 2021 and 2023, we are delighted to welcome them back: this time at the Kulturraffinerie K714.

Some 25 years after their formation, they are more fresh than ever and delight in subverting all expectations, as the quartet refuses to stick to a set program. Brand new songs meet celebrated classics, interaction meets spontaneity, curiosity meets self-ironic risk-taking. The band mainly sings its own German-language songs, which are funny and touching, but jazz and rock covers are also part of the repertoire, elegantly moving between sharp-tongued satire, profound reflection, touching empathy and absurd comedy.

The perfect arrangements are particularly accentuated by the elaborate shows, in which music, sound, light and video are combined to create a breathtaking overall experience that is outstanding and unique on the cultural scene.
