It’s that time of year again: “Lesen für Spritzwein” invites you to Vienna’s rooftops! This year, we’re back at the JO&JOE Wien rooftop at Westbahnhof, so welcome to summer and Spritzwein. An event for the Michi Häupls among literature lovers.
At “Reading for Spritz,”you bring the texts that the performers on stage have to read aloud. Excerpts from novels, chat logs, or your elementary school diary—let your imagination run wild! The audience votes with their applause on which was better: the text or the reading. Either the person reading gets a spritz, or the person who brought the text.
Do you have a text lying around at home that you’re convinced should be read aloud on stage? Then bring it along—that’s what makes the evening come alive! (👀 Plus, you’ll get a discount on admission 👀).Disclaimer: Even the best events have to end at some point, so we can’t always read everything that’s brought in, but we’ll do our best to strike a good balance between original, serious, and silly contributions.
