Sanctuary in music
The Silkroad Ensemble's latest program under the artistic direction of Rhiannon Giddens is called "Sanctuary: The Power of Resonance and Ritual". In it, the musicians explore the various functions that music can have in our society. In addition to mere entertainment, it helps many to process grief and loss, release anger and frustration and create a sense of community through concerts.
