A Summer Trip to Italy
Today, Antonio Vivaldi is inextricably linked with “The Four Seasons.” In his day, however, the Venetian was also a star as an opera composer. With soprano Julia Lezhneva and the period-instrument specialists of Il Giardino Armonico, the emotional, highly theatrical world of 18th-century opera comes to life—a summer excursion to Italy.
