Never before in the history of mankind have so many people from such different regions of the world lived so closely together in large cities as they do today. This super-diversity is increasingly changing the city: the old majority is ceasing to be in the majority and is becoming a minority among other minorities. But how do people without a migration background deal with this situation? In their groundbreaking study, Maurice Crul and Frans Lelie come to astonishing conclusions: Regardless of whether people have a positive or negative opinion about diversity and migration, they have long been taking part in shared practices that reveal how to live well together in a super-diverse environment.
