As the flagship ensemble of the jazz department at the HfMT Hamburg, the HfMT Big Band is composed entirely of young, ambitious jazz talents. The jazz orchestra is conducted by Prof. Wolf Kerschek, program director, ECHO Award winner, arranger, composer, and musician. Under his direction, the ensemble develops multifaceted programs that are performed internationally. This concert evening at the JazzHall marks the grand finale of a joint rehearsal period with the Scandinavian grandmaster of the trombone: Nils Landgren.
