Gankino Circus are back with a new program: a glamorous Saturday evening show with a touch of provincial madness! The musical high-wire artists known from radio and television present a wild and virtuoso rock'n'roll spectacle including unleashed dialect pop. But unlike the competition on TV at home, with Gankino Circus everything is live: no playback, no false bottoms, just ground-breaking musicality and spontaneous entertainment! In 2007, the four childhood friends from Dietenhofen in Franconia began to tear down all musical walls and annoying style rules with relish. Today, the band is somewhere between musical cabaret and party wrecking crew. So is the tongue-in-cheek title of their latest stroke of genius the program? One may doubt it. Now on the big stages, the four cosmopolitans from East-West Middle Franconia know the turbulence that arises when you are suddenly catapulted back into the sleepy village idyll of your youth and confronted with the opposite of rock'n'roll. Time and again, the well-traveled exceptional artists are drawn back to their roots: to Dietenhofen Rock City, where the bus only stops twice a day and love is still measured in hectares, where the summer smells of Spezi and the four friends feel like aliens, even though it is home. In their new program, the masterful musicians, oddball characters and gifted storytellers talk about this as well as providing bizarre insights into the big cabaret showbiz. So it's going to be quirky, subtle and very, very funny again ...
