Ein Abend namens Christian XXL – jetzt 100% mehr Christians!

Christian “Cris” Revon and Christian Gottschalk have invited two truly outstanding Christians to join them tonight.

Christian Kreis was the city chronicler of Halle in 2019, where he also lives. There, he runs the reading stage “Kreis mit Berg.” As a child, he wanted to become a GDR writer, but then Kohl bought the zone from the Russians. Kreis studied at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig, but never lost his sense of humor. He writes very funny ballads based on obscure newspaper reports. He recently published a collection of satirical stories titled *Der grundsympathische Blick des Norman Bates* (The Fundamentally Sympathetic Gaze of Norman Bates). He is a contributor to the *taz*’s “Wahrheit” column.

Christian Bartel is a friendly guest of the Cologne reading stage “Rock’n Read,” though he lives in Bonn. Bartel writes for the taz’s “Wahrheit” column and for radio, among other outlets. Hans Mentz (Titanic humor critic) likes Bartel’s stories: “First, he writes well; second, he’s credible; and third, he’s almost a sage.” Our tip: Don’t drink anything while he’s reading, because it might come right back out through your nose when you laugh.

Christian Gottschalk also writes occasionally for the taz “Wahrheit.” He particularly enjoys reading lighthearted texts from A4 sheets of paper.

Christian “Cris” Revon doesn’t write for the taz’s “Wahrheit.” But he plays the guitar and sings beautifully.
