He brings the ideal qualities to perform Edward Elgar’s Violin Concerto—a work of melancholic depth, noble elegance, and soulful virtuosity. Swirling melodies, delicate elegiac hues, and a touching inner depth characterize this music. Following the emotional breadth of Elgar’s work, Ludwig van Beethoven’s famous Symphony No. 3, the “Eroica,” opens a new chapter in music history. Originally conceived as a revolutionary portrait of Napoleon, it became a symbol of the greatness and contradictions of the human spirit. To this day, it stands for artistic freedom and faith in the power of the individual.
