Voguing beyond

In the organizer's words:

Voguing is a way of fighting, a way of throwing shades. Let’s vogue to embody and express the mind of a bodhisattva. A mind that practises the enlightened and highest level of kindness and compassion. 

Phitthaya, known as Sun, is a Thai-Norwegian contemporary performing artist based in Bangkok. He graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor in Contemporary and Modern Dance from KHIO – Oslo National Academy of the Arts.
After graduating, he worked as a freelance dancer with artists including Choy Ka Tai, Pichet Klunchun, Tang Fu Kueng, Daniel Kok, Jereh Leung, Cheng Ta Yu, Brian Gotong Tan, and Belinda Braza, among others. Since 2019, he has been developing his own solo practice. His first solo work Luk Kreung (2022) was selected for ICE HOT 2023 and presented as a work-in-progress at Tanzkongress 2022 in Mainz. His second solo Mae Baan premiered in 2024, and his third solo Ganesha – Aurora is planned for premiere in 2028.
 

In the ballroom scene, he is known as Asian father Aurora Labeija. He entered the scene in 2015 as a member of the House of Amazon, and joined the House of Labeija in 2023. He also founded and leads his own Kiki house – Kiki House of Sun – with children in Vietnam, Germany, Singapore, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

Sun is also an associate producer of the feature documentary 10s Across the Borders, directed by Sze Wei, which world premiered at the Busan International Film Festival in 2025, where he also appears as a protagonist.

As a teacher, Sun has led workshops and classes in Norway, Switzerland, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, China, Laos, and Hungary.
