Trump – Liegt es in der Familie? Helmut Thiele liest aus André Georgis Romanbiografie
In the organizer's words:
Donald Trump long claimed that his ancestors had immigrated from Sweden. Today it is clear: His grandfather, a barber from Kallstadt in the Palatinate, moved to New York at an early age, from where he soon headed west. As a restaurateur and brothel owner, he moved far north during the Gold Rush before returning to Germany as a wealthy man to find a wife. Despite his wealth—acquired through dubious dealings—he was denied German citizenship on the grounds that he was allegedly a deserter. He returned with his family to New York, where he invested his money in real estate, which would lay the foundation for his family’s fortune. He died of the Spanish flu. His grandson ultimately ensured that the name Trump is on everyone’s lips in Germany today.
André Georgi, a novelist and screenwriter for film and television, has dedicated a gripping biographical novel to Frederick Trump—meticulously researched, multi-layered, and captivating. For health reasons, he has transferred the reading rights for this book to Helmut Thiele. Experience a gripping story from the Wild West, complete with background information and historical context.
After studying acting and singing in Vienna, Helmut Thiele received his first engagement at the Landestheater Linz, followed by long-term engagements in Coburg, Osnabrück, and at the Celler Schlosstheater. Since 2002, he has been a freelance actor with numerous international engagements. In addition to various television roles (including in “Schwejk”), he has made guest appearances at the Stadttheater Bremen, the Staatstheater Kassel, in The Hague, in Tver (CIS), and in Moscow.
