„Ich brauch’ Tapetenwechsel“. Hildegard Knef - mit Nina Tripp (Gesang) und Martin Brödemann (Klavier)
In the organizer's words:
Hildegard Knef, whose life was like a roller coaster, began her acting career in the first postwar German film, *Die Mörder sind unter uns* (*The Murderers Are Among Us*), and by the mid-1960s had secured her place among the leading chanson lyricists and performers of her time. To this day, Hildegard Knef is regarded as a woman and artist who achieved great things in her life and touched many people with her art as well as with the dramas of her own life. This provides ample material and reason for an extraordinary tribute to Hildegard Knef by Nina Tripp, accompanied by Martin Brödemann on piano. You can look forward—in a relaxed and unhurried way—to a varied mix of anecdotal stories about Knef, many newly arranged Knef songs, and other songs from the world of chanson.
“It was a breathtaking musical and theatrical delight—the performance by chanson singer Nina Tripp with pianist Martin Brödemann. At times quiet and reserved, at times a ‘femme fatale,’ at times thoughtful and lyrical. What she presented in her program ‘Ich brauch Tapetenwechsel’ was authentic and rich in background knowledge” (Westfalenpost, Hohenlimburg).
Influenced by her father’s musical roots, Nina Tripp grew up with jazz and began gaining her first stage experience at the age of 8. She took singing lessons and, through a series of detours via jazz vocals, found her way to chanson. Later, she completed training in acting.
Martin Brödemann studied piano at the Cologne University of Music, Wuppertal campus. He works as a pianist and organist. As a composer, arranger, and song accompanist, he has helped shape numerous cabaret and chanson programs.
