Hilda finally knows where to look for her parents: at Schneefeste Castle in the far north. Together with her friends, she sets off on an adventurous flight and lands in a world of ice and snow. They hope that the wolves that live in this area can help them in their search. None of the four friends has ever encountered a wolf. Surely a very woolly animal, they think—you can tell just from the name. But then, one night, they overhear a secret conversation and begin to doubt whether the wolves will really help them...

Tobias Goldfarb’sfirst short story, “Jim and Joe in Texas,” which he wanted to write at the age of nine, is still waiting to be completed and published. In the meantime, he has written numerous award-winning children’s and young adult books and plays, including the SPIEGEL bestseller series*Spekulatius*, *The Christmas Dragon*, and*Hilda Hasenherz*. Tobias Goldfarb lives in Berlin with his family and a drawer full of unfinished manuscripts.
