Open Air | Dacheröden in Concert: TEX singt Leonard Cohen

Those who know TV Noir know TEX above all as a sensitive presenter who brings the performing musicians closer to the audience under the light of a floor lamp. He asks questions and plays and entertains in a pleasantly reserved manner. But TEX can also be different. Different and beautiful. When TEX sings and accompanies himself on the piano or guitar, when he brings his hymns to life to the stage with his strong voice, it is as empathetic, stirring and far-reaching as the world's best movie. After a long break, TEX is finally going on tour again and is stopping off with his new program "TEX SINGT LEONARD COHEN" at the open-air summer stage in the courtyard of Kultur: Haus Dacheröden.

Among TEX's esteemed old masters such as Rio Reiser, Elvis Costello and Radiohead, one takes a special place: Leonard Cohen. This is because Cohen is never just about the music, but always at least as much about the spiritual space that the songs and singing open up. Through his show TV Noir, Tex has learned a lot about the subtle beauty that arises when songs connect people. The evening "Tex plays Leonard Cohen" pays homage to this beauty. With minimal instrumentation, there is plenty of room for the voice and plenty of opportunity to sing along. The program consists largely of songs by Leonard Cohen, but there will also be some of Tex's own songs and those by other of his favourite composers
