Tarrus Riley feat. Dean Fraser & Blak Soil Band

Tarrus Riley, son of Uniques singer Jimmy Riley, was practically born into reggae. Growing up around the music business, he learned very quickly and recorded his first records as a teenager. "I've always loved music; I was a DJ, but everyone encouraged me to sing. They called me "Singy Singy" because I was always singing," says Riley.

In 2004, he released his debut album Challenges. This was followed in 2006 by his second album Parables, on which he worked with Dean Fraser, which was very well received by listeners and critics, produced the hit singles "Stay With You", "Beware", "She's Royal" and "Lion Paw" and brought him his worldwide breakthrough.

Riley has received numerous awards for his work throughout his career, including "Best Singer" at the 2008 Reggae Academy Awards and "Most Popular Song" and "Best Reggae Song" for his hit single "She's Royal". Tarrus is also the proud recipient of the 15th CVM Anniversary Award, which was presented in February 2009 for the "Most Admired Song in the Past 15 Years" for the hit "She's Royal".

At his concert in Mannheim, Tarrus Riley will be joined by the legendary saxophonist Dean Fraser and the Blak Soil Band. Fraser has produced the majority of Riley's releases and has been instrumental in his success. He is regarded as an exceptional musician when it comes to reggae and has worked with well-known names in the scene such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Israel Vibration, Burning Spear, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley and Gentleman.
