Summer Sessions: VAENTO

Vaento is a jazz duo that brings out the timeless beauty of jazz standards and bossa nova in a unique way. The duo consists of singer Lena Senge (German Jazz Prize 2023, Luah) and guitarist Álvaro Severino. Together, the musicians create an intimate, feel-good atmosphere through their duet performances that invites listeners to dream or tap their feet along.

Lena Senge captivates with an expressive voice that touches the soul—whether in a soulful jazz ballad or a light-footed bossa nova. Her singing, finely nuanced yet powerful, gives the pieces a unique touch. At her side, guitarist Álvaro Severino captivates with technical sophistication, a keen sense of feel, and emotional expressiveness. His sensitive, creative playing lends each piece a special flavor and creates space for musical surprises.

Vaento sheds a new, vibrant light on the traditions of jazz standards and bossa nova songs. Their arrangements are both meticulous and spontaneous, resulting in a lively interpretation that is different every time and unfolds its magic in the moment. Their music creates an atmosphere full of intimacy, lightness, and charm—perfect for enjoying, tapping your feet, and letting your mind wander.

This year’s domicil Summer Sessions are once again themed: “Small concerts – Big vibes” 
With these popular concerts in a relaxed and casual atmosphere downstairs at the domicil Bar, we’re slowly making our way back into the concert season.
