Open Air Kino: Das Gewicht der Welt

Science is supposed to be objective: facts instead of feelings. But a new generation of scientists is witnessing how their research is being thrown into disarray by climate change. Instead of discovering the wonders of nature, Maria, a glaciologist, Sebastian, a professor of physical chemistry, and Nana, a molecular biologist, have become chroniclers of a world in decline. But no one is listening to them. What can they do? Instead of retreating in frustration to the ivory tower of their research, Maria, Sebastian, and Nana leave the lab and become activists, because inaction is no longer an option.  

We are screening the film as part of the “Weitsicht ERlangen” series, in cooperation with Energiewende ER(H)langen e.V. and attac Erlangen.

Open-Air Cinema in the Garden

When the sun slowly sets in the summer and the air is still warm, it’s finally time for open-air cinema in the E‑Werk garden. Grab your favorite people, lean back in a lounge chair, and enjoy movies in a relaxed atmosphere under the starry sky. 

Unless otherwise noted, we show all films in the German dubbed version. Look forward to a lovingly curated mix of timeless classics and arthouse gems.  
 
The garden opens at 6 p.m.—perfect for arriving early, taking a deep breath, and getting in the mood. As soon as the sun goes down, your movie experience begins. 

We’ve got everything you need to go with it: cool drinks and really great fries to make your summer evening complete.
