In the organizer's words:
The artist collective “material girls” explores—collectively, yet each in her own individual way—the role and significance of materials in art. Ulrike Brockmann, Claudia Christoffel, Christine Huizenga, Edeltraut Rath, Sabine Schellhorn, Ute Seifert, and Elfin Açar are presenting works at the Overbeck Museum that directly reference themes and motifs associated with the painter couple Fritz and Hermine Overbeck.
Museum Director Katja Pourshirazi will speak. The artists will be present.
