One summer day, Lotte moves into a new house with her family. Through a hole in the
hedge, she spots her neighbor’s son, Totte, and the two become friends. Based
on the classic children’s books by Gunilla Wolde.
Lotte (4) moves to the countryside with her parents. She misses her friends and the high-rise building that used to be her home. Her baby brother cries all the time and is allowed to do things that Lotte isn’t. If only they could give him away and move back to the city! But then Lotte meets Totte, who lives in the house next door with his funny grandma. Together they bake cakes and go on little adventures with Totte’s cat in the garden or at the beach. Until one day, a game ends in a fight. Lotte has to find a way to win back her new best friend.
