Theater Event on Sunday, November 29, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Experience Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” in a unique production by the Drehbühne Berlin! The hard-hearted Ebenezer Scrooge detests Christmas. But fortunately, there is someone who has not yet given up hope that the heart of the miserly, misanthropic Scrooge can still be softened. Together with the protagonist, the audience embarks on a moving, emotional journey in which they encounter the spirits of Christmas past, present, and future.
The story, which the author himself referred to in the subtitle as “A Ghost Story,” is perfectly suited for a combination of live acting, puppetry, and interaction with film and shadow play sequences. Not least, the music by Falk Schönfelder—composed specifically for this production and performed partly live—contributes to the lively, varied, and touching atmosphere of the Berlin production.
Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” is a timeless tale of compassion, charity, and the power of change, and offers the perfect opportunity during the pre-Christmas season to reflect on precisely these themes that define the special spirit of the holidays.
Let yourself be enchanted by the poetic production at the Drehbühne Berlin and enjoy an evening full of exciting entertainment and magical moments!
For this production, the Drehbühne Berlin combines live acting, puppetry, and audience interaction with film and shadow play sequences, as well as atmospheric live music.
