Die Libellen (Indiepop)

“Becoming a productive member of society has been my motivation from the very beginning”—that’s the band’s motto in a city where the “Coup d’État of Love” is nothing but a dream.
Die Libellen play melancholic, poetic indie pop with a touch of whimsy. The trio—featuring Christian Schober on vocals and guitar, Jan Wienforth on bass, and Oliver Glück on drums—hails from Munich, and their songs often reflect that.

There, they go to Negroni parties, “Munich puts its businesswomen in the spotlight,” and “Chinese characters” offer their promises of salvation.
Last resort? “Of all the things that rob you of your freedom, I don’t want to miss out on alcohol and cigarettes.”
