Die Libellen - Akustik-Solo

“Becoming a productive member of society has been my motivation from the very beginning”—that’s the motto in a city where the “Coup d’État of Love” is nothing but a dream. Die Libellen play melancholic, poetic indie pop with a touch of whimsy.

The trio—with Christian Schober on vocals and guitar, Jan Wienforth on bass, and Oliver Glück on drums—hails from Munich, and they love to reflect that in their songs: They go to Negroni parties, “Munich puts its businesswomen in the spotlight,” and “Chinese characters” offer their promises of salvation. Last resort? “Of all the things that rob you of your freedom, I don’t want to miss out on alcohol and cigarettes.”

At this concert, singer Christian performs his songs in a very minimalist style, solo on acoustic guitar.
