THE LITTLE WITCH WANTS NOTHING MORE than to dance on Blocksberg on Walpurgis Night. But because she’s too young, she’s forbidden from doing so. Despite the warning from her friend, the raven Abraxas, she flies off secretly—and is promptly discovered. As punishment, the head witch burns her broom, and the little witch has to walk home.

At least she’s given a chance: if she becomes a good witch by the next Walpurgis Night, she’ll be allowed to join the dance. At first, she wants to take revenge on Aunt Rumpumpel, who betrayed her. But Abraxas reminds her of her promise: Good witches don’t do anything bad. So from now on, the little witch tries her best to do only the right thing—which isn’t all that easy.
