On June 20, we start our Summer of Carpenter. From then on, we will be presenting a selection from John Carpenter's extensive filmography. Of course, we can't show you every one of his films, but at least we have Escape From New York, Christine, Prince of Darkness, Starman, Big Trouble in Little China, They Live, The Village of the Damned and Ghosts of Mars on offer. So we don't want to hear any complaints.

On July 11, we are showing what is perhaps John Carpenter's best film. In it, the Prince of Darkness tries to come into the world. Can he be stopped or are we doomed?

Sudden changes in the environment and terrible natural disasters do not bode well for those who can read the signs: the return of Satan is apparently imminent. In a crumbling church in the middle of Los Angeles, trapped in a glass shrine, evil has been slumbering for centuries. When scientists try to get to the bottom of this terrible secret, the demonic power of an ancient anti-god awakens. With the help of a priest, they desperately try to defy the evil.
