The Theater im Bauturm on Aachener Straße has been a constant in the Belgian Quarter for years. Here you will find modern spoken theater with political aspirations.

Since 1983, productions have been taking place in this backyard theater, where the focus is on bringing artists and audience together. The content is mainly documentary plays with a global focus, the deconstruction of classic novels and the development of plays on rather unknown aspects of Cologne's city history.

The program is supplemented by debates, humorous formats and guest performances from the field of musical theater. Up close and intense!
