The community center is an open place for culture and the Veedel.

The house has a great open offer for everyone. On Mondays, people meet to sew together in the sewing workshop, on Wednesdays the courtyard workshop is open with tools and help with upcycling and repairing and the pottery workshop, on Thursdays people draw and paint together in Urban Sketching.

In addition, there are open offers for children and families such as the HofSpiele, vacation program or music, dance and circus courses for children. The community center cooperates with the philharmonic or the Rhenish music school. There is also plenty of theater and concerts for children, daycare centers, schools and other educational institutions.

The cultural program for adults ranges from theater, concerts, readings and performances. Sometimes there are concerts by the choirs that are based here, sometimes premieres by various theater groups. In between, there is a party series, cabaret evenings and various groups and initiatives meet here to hold meetings. The rooms and stages of the Bürgerhaus are also rented out.

With its green inner courtyard, the Bürgerhaus is an open meeting place in the Veedel. There is plenty of space to play, relax and get together. A village square for everyone - in the middle of the city!

SUMMER COLOGNE:

At the Bürgerhaus Kalk on July 2 at 11 a.m., the children's theater Marabu playfully addresses the desire for self-determination in the play "BlauPause" ("Blue Break"). And on August 6, Clown Otsch attacks the diaphragm. Laughter is the best medicine in any weather.
