How often have you found yourself caught between two worlds?
Zavitan Merima’s paintings are a mirror of her emotions and a glimpse between two worlds: the world we live in and the world we carry within us.
On her canvases, the woman is more than just a figure. She is strong and vulnerable, conscious and unconscious, gentle, cool, combative, lost, and courageous. Sometimes she is a single woman. Sometimes she represents all of us.
