On Friday, June 19, the Orchestra Academy of the WDR Symphony Orchestra will perform a special concert evening with various chamber music string and wind ensembles , just like last year. (Last year, a small "making-of" of the chamber concert was created during the dress rehearsal link here)

The Orchestra Academy of the WDR Symphony Orchestra was founded as a registered association at the beginning of 2013 on the initiative of musicians from the orchestra, with Frank Peter Zimmermann as patron. The aim is to close the training gap that exists between graduating from university and starting a career, while at the same time passing on the orchestra's established tradition of sound. The academy teaches orchestral practice at the highest level in order to optimally prepare prospective orchestral musicians for their career entry. The academy is aimed at young, particularly talented musicians who have completed or will soon complete their instrumental studies and are looking for a position in a top orchestra.
