Vom Archiv in die Ausstellung: Fotografien vom Wassersport Kuratorinnengrundgang zur Sonderausstellung „Alles vorwärts-los! Fotografische Perspektiven auf Wassersport und Politik“

In this tour, participants will walk through the first special exhibition at the Grünau Water Sports Museum alongside the curator; this exhibition also marks the first museum presentation of selected photographs from the Berlin Sports Museum’s photo archive. An exploration of the medium of photography and the development of water sports is combined with the history of the photo collection and insights into curatorial and museum work. Why were certain photos selected—and which ones were left out? What conceptual considerations underlie the exhibition’s design?
