The Hang, Modern Jazz Styles & Improv Session: Contemporary Music, Ancient Rituals

The Hang is a new jazz session in the Rhine-Main area - presented by Die Fabrik and musicians from the scene, open to curious improvisers, students, professionals and anyone who is serious about playing together and meeting new people.

Hosts for the evening and the opener: Mario Angelo (bass), Oli Rubow (drums), Paul Janoschka (piano) & NI-KA (vocals). The musicians already regularly perform together in the concert series "circuits", "SOIL" and "Der Temporäre Elektronische Salon" - in cooperation with Die Fabrik.

After the opening set, the stage will be opened up for spontaneous line-ups, new musical connections and a shared focus on interaction and improvisation. The evening is accompanied by the hosts, who set the tone, prepare the stage for the musicians and, if necessary, have a tune or two up their sleeves. The focus is on modern jazz and improvised music in an open setting - not as a classic "beginner jam", but as a space for musical exchange at a high level ... parship for poly-jazz-players!

We want to bring together musicians and audiences from Frankfurt, the universities and the entire Rhine-Main region, people who appreciate the Hang as much as the music itself.
