JAZZ AT THE DONDORF DRUCKEREI: HfMDK BIG BAND - 01.07.26

The HfMDK Big Band is the result of the Master's program Big Band - Playing, Writing, Conducting at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK). The course was introduced for the first time in the winter semester 2022/23 and works closely with the hr-Big Band. The unique course combines writing, conducting and playing jazz music with influences from the hr-Big Band. Students learn from artists from the national and international scene and gain experience in workshops, excursions, projects and productions. Together with the hr-Big Band, a production takes place in which students learn to lead, play and write from each other. The big band brings together different musical skills and combines them with each other.
The big band brings unique jazz and enchants the Dondorf printing works. On 01.07. the Big Band will come to the 2og:dondorf, the 2nd floor of the Dondorf-Druckerei. Admission is at 19:30, from 20:15 there will be a short introduction to the world of jazz, followed by the big band from 20:30.

Tickets cost 16 euros regular, 10 euros for concessions (pupils, trainees, students and senior citizens).
