THE BLIND OWL is a haunting dance theater about the complexity, fragility and constant change of identity. Inspired by the novel "The Blind Owl" by Iranian author Sadegh Hedayat, the production combines dance, music and video projections to create an atmospherically dense stage world - sensual, disturbing and political at the same time.

At the center is a nameless narrator whose ego splinters into various figures - a girl and an old man appear as mirrors of his inner turmoil. The boundaries between reality and imagination blur between dream, memory and hallucination. The female figure appears as a projection screen for male desires, fears and power fantasies.

THE BLIND OWL makes it possible to experience identity as a dynamic process - characterized by migration, gender, power structures and social control. At a time when patriarchal systems attempt to codify roles and shape identities, it becomes tangible how external circumstances shape inner worlds and how self-images remain fragile. With a feminist perspective, the play questions patriarchal perspectives and phallocentric narrative structures and invites the audience to radically rethink their own perception and self - beyond fixed role models and unambiguous realities.
