Tallarin con Banana

This fictional work moves between the intimate and the universal, the individual and the collective; it follows the paths of life through childhood, youth and early adulthood - set somewhere in South America in the 1980s and 1990s. Dance, theater and circus - a mixture of music and aerial acrobatics (trapeze and aerial cradle). This story of two neighbors' children illustrates the power of human connection in uncertain times by exploring identities, transcending boundaries and celebrating human relationships. This artful blend, created by the Chilean-Argentinean company Tallarín con Banana in collaboration with actor and director Severo Callaci, premiered in Rosario, Argentina, in spring 2021. In search of a unique poetic approach to the universe of the piece, the performers explored their own biographies under the guidance of the director. After developing these initial images through their physical performance, the group crafted their texts, scenes and dramaturgy with great meticulousness and deliberation.
