Our Sculpture Walk takes us to Stammheim Palace Park - one of Cologne's most beautiful parks with mature trees and sweeping views of the Rhine. Where a castle once stood that was destroyed in the Second World War, we now encounter contemporary art in the open air.
For over 20 years, thanks to the Kultur Raum Rechtsrhein (KRR) initiative, new sculptures have been created here that relate to nature: sometimes poetic, sometimes surprising, sometimes tongue-in-cheek or thought-provoking. Some works remain, others are replaced - keeping the park alive and in motion.
During a 1.5-hour guided tour with Mareike Fänger, art mediator and co-initiator of KRR, we will discover this special connection between landscape and art and experience the park as an open, living gallery.
This is an event organized by job&kunstfreunde - a young initiative of the Association of Friends of the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum and the Museum Ludwig.
job&kunstfreunde is aimed at all young professionals between the ages of 30 and 50 who want to free their minds from stress and feed them with new ideas through guided tours or artist talks, collector visits and curator tours! Our program is extraordinary and opens many a door to Cologne's art and culture scene!
