ONE-DAY CHOIR Workshop | Cologne | A one-day choir experience

Do you enjoy singing and want to sing in harmony with others—while also developing your voice and musical sense along the way?

Do you feel like singing, but a regular choir doesn’t fit into your daily routine right now?
Or do you want to experience what it feels like to sing in harmony with others and gain confidence in your voice in the process?

Then this One-Day Choir Workshop is just right for you.

On September 19, 2026, at the Alte Feuerwache in Cologne (Großes Forum) from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (doors open about 30 minutes early), you can join a group choir workshop led by Désirée Koch in a relaxed atmosphere.

Whether you have choir experience or not, you’re welcome.
You can participate in a completely relaxed way—no prior knowledge, no auditions, and no individual presentations required. Everything comes together through working together.

Here’s how the One-Day Choir Workshop works:

Before the event, you’ll receive the arrangement and the TeachMe audio files via email, giving you the chance to familiarize yourself with the arrangement at home—this is entirely optional, not required.

The workshop begins with a group warm-up and guided vocal coaching to activate your voice and body.
During this session, you’ll work on intonation, timing, and using your voice with confidence, among other things.

Afterward, we’ll work through an arrangement written specifically for this day, step by step.
In the process, you’ll learn to maintain your voice within a polyphonic context, listen to other voices, and orient yourself within the overall sound.

At the end, we’ll create a group recording that documents both the musical process and the final result.
