When M. Byrd became a father for the first time, he found himself in a place that was completely foreign to him. Being completely absorbed in the moment, the German singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer transfers this energy to his album *A Better Place* [Nettwerk], which will be released in 2025.

He took the first step on this ongoing journey as a music-loving child in Germany. In 2020, he introduced his sound with the single "Mountain", which broke the 10.9 million Spotify streams mark and paved the way for the *Orion* EP. The latter included another fan favorite, "Morning Sun", which recorded 6.2 million Spotify streams. In 2023, he released his first full studio album, *The Seed*. Along the way, he earned the praise of scene connoisseurs and media outlets such as EUPHORIA, 1883 Magazine, OnesToWatch and others.

Around the same time, becoming a father turned his world upside down - in the very best sense. This effectively split the process of creating *A Better Place* in half - physically symbolized by his young family's move from Hamburg to Denmark. "There are all these songs from before the birth and all these songs from after the birth," he affirms. "I was able to reflect on myself and what was happening. I said goodbye to a lot of friends in Hamburg and started a new life in Denmark. All these changes were happening and I really tried to put them into songs so I could carry them with me forever."

Ultimately, M. Byrd provides the soundtrack to the most universal experience of all: change.
