Maximiliane Braun:

Maximiliane Braun is a contemporary artist from Düsseldorf and works under the name MK-ARTIFICIALS. As a self-taught artist, she began painting at the end of 2022 and within a short time developed an independent artistic language characterized by contrasts, emotional intensity and visual resonance.

Her first exhibition took place in Düsseldorf in November 2024. The year 2025 became an intensive phase of artistic development, experimentation and conscious exploration of the theme of exhibition and public presence. Hamburg was a particular artistic starting point - which is why she has a strong personal and, above all, artistic connection to the city.

Her works have been shown in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Wiesbaden, Osnabrück, Munich, Hanover and Saint-Tropez, among others. She is currently focusing increasingly on the international art market and the further development of her contemporary position.

Her works move between figuration and abstraction, calm and tension, control and intuition. Portraits form an important part of her work, but are equally important alongside abstract and experimental compositions. The focus is always on the search for resonance - between image and viewer, surface and depth, what is visible and what is felt.

The exhibition:

Maximiliane Braun's art deals with what lies beneath the surface.
In a world that is strongly characterized by beauty, aesthetics and perfect staging, she consciously focuses on the levels behind it - on emotions, vulnerability, inner conflicts, longing and abysses.

Her works are not only intended to be aesthetically pleasing, but also to trigger something: Resonance, tension, irritation and emotional depth. The focus is on the question of what becomes visible when surfaces break open and control meets intuition.

The works move between figuration and abstraction, calm and intensity, control and chaos. Portraits form an important part of her work, but are equally important alongside free and experimental compositions. Contrasts, multi-layered structures and intuitive processes give rise to works that deliberately remain open and create space for individual perception.

The focus of her artistic language is not the perfect picture, but the real thing. That which lies hidden beneath the beautiful appearance.
