Japanische Bindung: Die Kunst des sichtbaren Fadens

In the organizer's words:

Japanese bookbinding combines paper and thread to create a visible form of calm. Each seam follows a rhythm, each binding leaves a pattern of line, tension and structure.

In the workshop, hand-bound books are created in which the binding itself becomes part of the design. Using paper, needle and thread, we will explore traditional binding techniques and create individual objects between craft, graphics and book art.

For participants: aged 12 and over
Duration: 2 hours
Cost: €40 per person, incl. materials & museum admission
Accompanying persons have the opportunity to visit the exhibition at the regular admission price.
