"Forming Nature, Formed by Nature" is an interactive exhibition created jointly by artists and students of climate science. You can discover sculptures, paintings, collages and live performances that deal with questions about the relationship between humans and nature. How do humans intervene in nature and change it? How are we shaped by our environment, how is it part of our identities and cultures?
The exhibition shows the scientific and artistic perspective on the topic. What it lacks is yours: We invite all curious minds - regardless of age, gender or origin - to contribute their own thoughts and perspectives by interacting with the exhibition. We will provide painting, writing and craft materials so that you can create your own (art) works. We look forward to expanding this exhibition with you and discovering, reflecting on and questioning our relationship with nature together!
Free admission.
The event is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) as part of the Excellence Strategy of the Federal and State Governments - EXC 2037 "CLICCS - Climate, Climate Change and Society" - project number: 390683824, the Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change (LIB), the Claussen Simon Foundation, the Alfred Toepfer Foundation F.V.S. and the NUE from proceeds of BINGO!-The Environmental Lottery.
