INSERT: Die Schenkung Peter und Heidrun Hess

For many years, the Hamburg-based collector couple Peter and Heidrun Hess have enriched the Hamburg Kunsthalle’s contemporary art collection with numerous donations and permanent loans. Highlights from the Hess couple’s most recent donation, made in 2025, will be on view starting June 28 in a room within the ISA MONA LISA exhibition. Works by Till Gerhard, Zwelethu Mthethwa, Thomas Ruff, Jörg Sasse, John Schlesinger, and Jeff Wall will be on display. The presentation opens on June 28 at 11:30 a.m. on the basement level of the Galerie der Gegenwart. Admission is included with the museum ticket.
