In the organizer's words:
Gryniva came to Germany from the Ukraine with her family in 2002 and now lives in Berlin. She is considered one of the most impressive voices on the European jazz and world music scene. The celebrated singer and composer combines traditional Ukrainian melodies with indie pop influences.
Gryniva describes her music as "improvised electro-folk with solo parts", between jazz, folklore and electronic soundscapes: "I allow myself complete freedom and use what suits each piece."
