Forumtheater „Gemeinsam Haltung zeigen“

In the organizer's words:

Every person is unique and has their place in the world.

Solidarity, justice, free personal development and a joyful coexistence are values that we want for our lives.

Nevertheless, we experience discrimination time and again in our everyday lives. Sometimes we are affected ourselves, sometimes others. We are often speechless in these situations, remain angry about our reactions for a long time or are dissatisfied with them. We want to develop strategies together to defend ourselves better and take a stand when others are affected. To this end, we meet every 3rd Tuesday of the month in the celebration room of the Nippes Altenberger Hof community center. There we develop possible courses of action together and work on the scenes that have happened using Augusto Boal's Forum Theater (Theater of the Oppressed) method. By acting out these situational scenes, we expand our repertoire of actions, learn from our fellow actors and learn from each other. Together we can develop solidarity, tolerance and respectful coexistence.
